Ukraine Scandal Reaches into Nevada Politics

Two associates of Rudy Giuliani connected to efforts to dig up dirt in Ukraine on Joe Biden, have been arrested and indicted on criminal charges for allegedly funneling foreign money into US elections. The indictment says Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman wanted to curry favor with politicians who could help them win Marijuana licenses on behalf of the hidden foreign donor, a Russian national who wired them a million dollars. The indictment says  the defendants used those funds to make “Max” donations to Nevada political candidates  Adam Laxalt, the Attorney General running for Governor, and Wes Duncan, the candidate for Attorney General. Each got $10,000. The indictment says the suspects thought that could help further their plans for the marijuana business. The marijuana business never actually came to fruition, and both Laxalt and Duncan lost their races.  Both Laxalt and Duncan are returning the donations, and deny knowledge of any wrongdoing.
