There’s a Family Health Festival Wednesday at North Valleys High School. It’s a community-wide collaborative effort to bring free and low-cost health services to kids, students, adults and seniors. Some of the services that will be provided include flu shots, BMI testing, and the food resources through the Food Bank Mobile Pantry. The event and services are made possible through a partnership with Truckee Meadows Healthy Communities. Some of the agencies and organizations involved include Renown Health, the Washoe County Health District, United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra, and Community Health Alliance. The free Family Health Festival takes place from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the North Valleys High School cafeteria.
