The season for one the least favorite cold weather crimes is on. Elko police say two vehicles warning up while unattended where stolen Thursday. Both vehicles have been recovered. But police remind you leaving a vehicle running and unlocked is an invitation for a crime of opportunity. It’s also illegal in Nevada, unless it’s a working commercial vehicle actively loading or unloading.
