It’s time for the Prescription Drug Roundup. Local law enforcement and Join Together Northern Nevada urge you to rid your home of unwanted and in many cases, dangerous drugs. Peter Beagan of the Reno Police Department is a drug counselor., who says if you need your medicines, lock them up.

From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, bring unneeded prescription drugs, prescription liquids, pet medications and “sharps.” The service is free and anonymous: In Reno, go to Raley’s on Wedge Parkway; Reno Elks Lodge, Kumle Lane; Smith’s on Lemmon Drive and South Meadows Parkway; and WalMart on West 7th Street. In Sparks it’s Smith’s on Baring Boulevard.
