The Washoe County School District has a shortage of bus drivers. With the low unemployment rate, it’s been difficult for the district to find qualified employees. They need to staff 50 to 55 drivers. Those hired will work 6.5 hours per day and are eligible for benefits that include health insurance, paid time off, and retirement. Plus, you get holidays and school breaks off, and only work 180 days a year. The jobs are split shift, and you can work part-time. WCSD is hosting a Bus Driver Information and Recruitment Session on Monday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at 1150 Matley Lane in the Nevada Lab.
