The intersection of Center and Thoma Streets is back open after being closed for several hours last night. Reno Police responded to reports of an armed suicidal man at the 600 Block of South Center Street in Midtown around 4 o’clock yesterday. Some residents from a nearby building were evacuated but have since returned to their apartments. Police say it was the man’s relatives who contacted them. RPD says they were told he was having a break down and had handguns. His name and current condition have not been released.
