The Sparks Fire Department battled a warehouse fire on Dermody Way at Icehouse. The fire was reported just after 9:15 AM Monday. No injuries were reported. That’s an area near the railroad tracks, south of the Pyramid Highway. First responders found three single story empty buildings involved with heavy fire. There were also fires in this area last year. Cause of the fire is under investigation. The city of Sparks filed nearly 20 notices of violations for dangerous conditions after similar fires broke out in the same area in April 2018.
