The City of Sparks has had it with the owners of empty buildings that have been the target of fires, tagging and other misbehavior. They’re identified as “Kody Jet Corp.” Sparks Fire Department battled new fires on Dermody Way at Icehouse Monday. The city of Sparks filed nearly 20 notices of violations for dangerous conditions after similar fires broke out in the same area in April 2018. Now Sparks is looking to prosecute the owner for multiple nuisance and fire code violations.
