Several agencies will be participating in a three day emergency preparedness drill this week, starting today through the 14th. “Silver Crucible 2019” will test the statewide emergency preparedness response in dealing with a coordinated terrorist attack.  Drill locations will include the Washoe County Regional Emergency Operations Center, The UNR Redfield Campus, Pickett Park and the Reno Ballroom. The training exercise is meant to mirror real life situations, so some of the participants will have realistic looking makeup wounds, but again it’s only a drill.
