A child was hit in the crosswalk near Double Diamond Elementary Monday. Shortly after 3 p.m. a 10-year-old boy was in the crosswalk at South Meadows Parkway and Evergreen Street when he was hit by a car. The driver was heading north on Evergreen Street and turned right at the light to South Meadows Parkway where the boy was crossing. The boy suffered two broken legs.
