Sparks Police identified and arrested the driver who allegedly caused a five-vehicle accident Christmas Day, and then ran from the scene as 42 year old Juan Jose Fuentes. Police booked Fuentes on three felony counts of fleeing the scene of an accident and charges of drunk driving causing substantial bodily harm, driving on a revoked license, failing to decrease speed and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. Fuentes was driving a Dodge truck that rear-ended a GMC at high speed on westbound Oddie Boulevard at El Rancho Drive Christmas Day, at about 5:06 p.m. Those vehicles then crashed into three other vehicles. Fuentes ran away and police found him a short time later with the help of the public. Three people in the GMC were injured. Two were listed in critical condition.
