The Sparks Police Department arrested one man after a robbery Thursday afternoon at Paul’s Market on Vance Way, near Rock Boulevard. 24-year-old Jonathan Calderon, was booked on felony counts of robbery and burglary plus a count of petty larceny. A store worker said two men tried to steal items from the store. The worker tried to stop it by locking the door. Calderon was briefly locked inside and pulled a weapon and threatened the clerk. Calderon was able to leave the store, but the Washoe County School District police found him and took him into custody. The second man, who was acting as a lookout, is still at large. Alice Maxwell Elementary School was briefly on lockdown because of the incident.
