Washoe County Sheriff’s department has wrapped up their latest Joining Forces campaign. In the last round they issued 56 citations for distracted driving and 62 for speeding. The Distracted Driving event from January 6th through 24th also caught 10 people without registered vehicles, three for running red lights, and three falied to yield the right of way. The next Joining Forces campaign goes from Friday through February 17th, and focuses on speed safety.
