High Speed Chase Ends in Arrest

A Reno man is behind bars after leading police on a high-speed chase that ended in Northwest Reno last night. It started when the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office attempted to make a traffic stop on a man who was unable to maintain his travel lane while driving eastbound on Interstate 80 near Gold Ranch. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Obed Pigg, didn’t stop and led police on a chase reaching speeds of over 100 mph. The chase lasted roughly nine miles long before Pigg came to a stop on his own on the eastbound off-ramp of Robb Drive. No one was injured during the chase.
