A kidnapping suspect from Susanville may be in Reno or Sacramento and Lassen County deputies are asking for the public’s help. According to deputies, Maitland Carpenter was last seen leaving a Susanville area home with Dorothy Crosby. The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office says the kidnapping victim was located, but the suspect is still at large. Carpenter is said to be armed and dangerous. Carpenter has long brown hair and tattoos on his arms and neck. If you encounter him, police say don’t approach him, but call 911.
