The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada reports that four new companies relocated to Northern Nevada in February, adding 780 new jobs to the region. Makita opened a distribution center, bringing 85 new positions from Georgia to Reno. Simplex, a manufacturing company, packed up from Illinois and set up shop in Fernley, with 120 new employment opportunities. AeroSafe Global is now manufacturing in Spanish Springs rather than NY, with 75 people going to work. And finally, an unnamed call center moved from California last month, with 500 jobs.
