Reno Police will close the front desk, and like the Washoe County Sheriff, will ask people to call or report online, rather than coming to the station to do business. But Chief Jason Soto says if you have a real emergency, call 911, response times will not change, and they will be there.

The changes are being made in the interest of caution, and Chief Soto says we’re all in this together.
