A Washoe County man in his 40s has died from the Coronavirus, marking the first local death from the pandemic. He had recently traveled to New York and was hospitalized on March 23rd. Mayor Hillary Schieve said in a statement “we are grieving and absolutely devastated” adding her deepest condolences to the family and friends of the man. The county is also reporting 14 new cases, bringing the total in Washoe County to 107. Another local patient has also recovered bringing the total of recoveries to 8.
