Washoe County officials announced Thursday that plans for the Alternative Care Site at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center are on hold.

The COVID-19 Washoe Incident Management Team said they are monitoring the current local trends with regards to the COVID-19 modeling, and should there be a need to move forward with the care site, the project will be implemented with a two-day mobilization, and seven-day build.
