Washoe County Health Officer Kevin Dick has asked for the resignation of the district’s chief epidemiologist. Dr. Randall Todd has served as the director of epidemiology for Washoe County for the past 14 years. Prior to that, Todd served as the Nevada State Epidemiologist for 12 years. According to a report in the Reno Gazette Journal, the county did not cite a reason in asking for the resignation. Dr. Todd acknowledged that he has had conflict with Kevin Dick “off and on over the years.” The doctor has stated he will retire as of May 1st.
