Governor Steve Sisolak is making a change in leadership at the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation. Heather Korbulic [kor-BUELL-lic], the former executive director of the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange, has been appointed as Interim Director of DETR. She replaces Tiffany Tyler-Garner, who served as head of the department for a little over a year.  DETR has been overwhelmed with unemployment filings since the outbreak of COVID-19. The governor has attempted to bolster the department’s staffing, but DETR remains under fire for its handling of a record number of unemployment claims.
