Both the Washoe County Sheriff and Reno Police Chief are speaking out after the death of a black man in Minneapolis. George Floyd was seen on video dying while an officer pressed his knee into the handcuffed man’s neck, as onlookers begged him to stop and other officers stood by. Chief Jason Soto says he’s deeply disturbed by the incident. Sheriff Darrin Balaam says those officers actions disgrace our badge and tarnish our profession, and it’s time to call it out.
