Governor Steve Sisolak on Monday said Nevada will not move into Phase 3 of reopening at this time, and that more time is needed to evaluate new coronavirus cases. The governor cited a consistent increase in confirmed COVID-19 hospitalizations since June 5. An increase in positive cases was expected with loosened restrictions and increased testing, the governor said, but he wants more monitoring of case data before determining the next steps.
The governor encouraged people to continue to wear face coverings, and maintain six feet of social distancing.
