Mosquito Abatement Begins in Carson City

Carson City Health and Human Services started treating the area for mosquitoes this week. Crews in helicopters vector sprayed around 210 acres in the Anderson Ranch part of town, with more treatments to come this summer. The agency wants you to know that the application is safe for humans and animals. Help the effort at home by removing any standing water on your property that allows mosquitoes to breed.
