Nevada’s minimum wage goes up July 1st. Assembly Bill 456 that passed in 2019 bumps the rate up 75 cents annually through 2024. That’s $3.75 over five years. On the first, minimum wage workers will get $8.00 an hour if the employee is offered qualifying health benefits, and $9.00 an hour if the employee isn’t offered qualifying health benefits. Daily overtime rates go up too, except for those employees exempted from overtime requirements.
