Multiple agencies remain on scene of the 18,000-acre Numbers Fire that broke out off U.S. 395 south of Gardnerville late Monday night. One house and 12 outbuildings burned in the fire. Douglas County has lifted recommended evacuations for the Bodie Flats and Pine View Estates areas. Only residents will be allowed into those areas. Evacuations notices remain in place for the “Out-R-Way” and Lena Way area. Evacuation sites have been set up at the Carson Valley Inn and the Holiday Inn Express in Minden. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has authorized the use of federal funds to assist the State of Nevada in combating the fire.
