Sheriff Says Gun Licenses and Permits Have Been Extended

The Washoe County Sheriff says all gun licenses and permits issued by the State of Nevada or by local jurisdictions that are set to expire during this state of emergency, have been extended 90 days either from their current expiration date or 90 days after the state of emergency is lifted, whichever is later, if reduced government operations makes timely renewal impossible. Sheriff Balaam says current holders of a recently expired permit will not be penalized until after Nevada Day.” The Sheriff’s moved to online application and appointment scheduling. Currently CCW permit renewal appointments are booked through mid-October.
