The Sparks Police Department arrested a man who they said intentionally ran down a group of five people with a car on Battle Born Way between Kietzke Lane and Victorian Avenue, killing one of them.

25-year-old Juan Guerrero is facing several charges including open murder, four counts of “battery with a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm”, and five counts of duty to stop at scene of accident causing death or injury.

An 18-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Two 17-year-old males, a 19-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were all taken to Renown Medical in critical condition.
