Fire Burns 1,500 Acres North of Reno

Fire agencies are responding to three wildfires off U.S. 395 near the California state line north of Reno. According to Sierra Front, the largest is the North Fire burning near Hallelujah Junction were U.S. 395 meets SR-70 in California. It is estimated to be about 1,500 acres. The South Fire has burned five acres and the Shoe Tree fire has burned less than one acre. The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District said evacuations are underway for the Rancho Haven community.
