Caleb Cage, head of the state coronavirus compliance review panel, says decisions will be made as early as tonight on whether bars and other businesses will be allowed to reopen in Washoe, Clark and four other counties. Washoe County health officials say they support reopening bars in Reno and Sparks because it’s easier to combat the spread of COVID-19 in regulated environments with strictly enforced protections, than in private social gatherings which are on the increase. Besides Washoe and Clark, reopening is being considered for Elko, Humboldt, Lander and Nye Counties.
