The Slink Fire southwest of Topaz Lake in California’s Mono County has grown to 20,795 acres, with 21 percent containment. The fire has the potential to grow due in part to high heat and low humidity. It is listed having extreme fire danger. The Forest Service says the Little Antelope Pack Station on Mill Creek Road has been evacuated as a precaution. Crews are working on the ground and in the air to get the fire under control. Hot shot crews will be deployed today west of Coleville to reinforce retardant lines. Estimated full containment is September 20.
