The Reno Police Department has arrested a man in connection to the death of a child Friday. 42 year old Edward Rivas is now facing murder and arson charges. Police responded to the 1200 block of Berrum Lane on the afternoon of Sept. 18 on the report of an unconscious juvenile. When officers arrived on scene, the boy was unresponsive and his death was deemed suspicious. Police say Rivas had been living with the boy and his mom for a period of time. Reno Police are asking for the community’s help finding a black BMX Mongoose bicycle connected to this case. The bike is spray painted black, but the original color is green with silver rims.
