Prescription Roundup Saturday in Reno, Sparks, Incline Village

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, Join Together Northern Nevada, and other community partners are hosting a Prescription Drug Roundup, to get rid of potentially unwanted prescription drugs this Saturday. Medicines that remain in home cabinets are susceptible to misuse and abuse. Studies show that a majority of abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, residents can bring unneeded prescription drugs, prescription liquids, pet medications and sharps to any of the following locations. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked:

In Reno they’re at the Raley’s on Wedge Parkway, the Reno Elks Lodge,Kumle Lane; Smith’s at 175 Lemmon Drive; Smith’s at 750 South Meadows Parkway; WalMart at West 7th Street at Mae Anne Ave. In Sparks drop off is at Smith’s 1255 Baring Boulevard, and in Incline Village– Raley’s at 930 Tahoe Boulevard.
