Placer County Public Health and the Placer County Sheriff-Coroner Division are investigating the death of an unidentified person who received the Covid 19 vaccine while they were sick with the virus.  The person who died came down with the virus in late December, and passed within just a few hours after getting the shot on January 21st. The individual didn’t receive the shot from the Place County Health Department, but from another source. Placer County Sheriff’s Department rep Angela Musallam says they should be able to release more details in a few weeks.

According to CDC guidelines for the inoculation, those who are currently ill with COVID, or are experiencing a moderate or severe case of virus symptoms, should avoid the vaccine until they fully recover.
