The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office says a man who led authorities on a chase Tuesday afternoon is now in custody. A reckless driver was on I-580 heading southbound on Mt. Rose when deputies began a pursuit. The driver was contained near North Carson Street near Silver Oak Drive in Carson City and a standoff ensued. The driver eventually surrendered and he was taken into custody. Nevada Highway Patrol says at one point he tried to hit an NHP vehicle. He is facing an assault with a deadly weapon charge. There were no injuries reported from the incident.
