Washoe County has 45 known cases of the so called UK Variant of the Coronavirus. 31 new cases have been confirmed since March 17th. Health officials say the spread came from private gatherings and youth sporting events, and air travel to other states. CDC says the UK variant is easier to transmit and should be another reason to maintain protections against infection, including mask use.
