State Ethics Panel Investigating Reno City Councilmember

A state ethics panel is investigating Reno Councilmember Bonnie Weber. They’ll consider whether Weber broke ethics laws while attending private lunches, paid for by developers with active projects in the North Valleys, while they were being considered by the council. The probe will determine whether the councilmember “improperly using governmental time, property, equipment or resources, including use of public staff, to benefit a significant personal or pecuniary interest.” A review panel forwarded complaints about the practive to the Nevada Commision on Ethics. They meet in October.
