Former Republican Sen. Dean Heller is planning a special announcement Monday in Carson City, and there is wide speculation that he will be entering the GOP primary for Governor. It’s a crowded field with no real frontrunner. Heller lost a bid for re-election in 2018, to Jacky Rosen. Heller faced criticism for republicans for his on again-off again relationship with Donald Trump, at times seen as a critic, and other times as too compliant with the whims of the former President.
