Politico is reporting, prosecutors plan to call former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt , who is challenging Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, to testify in the upcoming criminal trial of Lev Parnas, an associate of Rudy Giuliani who became a central figure in the 2019 impeachment of President Donald Trump. Laxalt’s campaign received two $5,000 donations, one from Parnas, and another from another Giuliani associate, Igor Fruman. Fruman has pleaded guilty to campaign finance violations for soliciting foreign campaign donations. He is cooperating with prosecutors. Fruman says the campaign donations were earmarked for government officials in states moving to legalize marijuana.
