The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is looking for three suspects who robbed a convenience store near the intersection of U.S. 50 and I-580 early Saturday. It happened just before 4 a.m. at the “Golden Gate Petroleum” on North Lompa Lane. Three men walked towards the store wearing black masks. Two went into the store, pointed a gun at the teller and demanded money, while a third suspect waited outside. Anyone with information is asked to call the Carson City sheriff’s office or Secret witness. They’re offering a $1,500 reward in the case. The Sheriff’s Office believes the suspects attempted to burglarize the “Smoke Shop” on Curry Street earlier that morning. They arrived with a crowbar and broke a window trying to get in before running away.
