The woman found dead inside a burned vehicle along I-580 last month, Twenty-three-year-old Anna Scott of Reno, died from a gunshot wound, according to the Medical Examiner. Washoe County Sheriff’s Office says was dead at the scene and her death is being investigated as a homicide. Several agencies responded to the car fire at the Galena Creek Bridge just before 4:30 a.m. February 3rd, including the sheriff’s office, the Nevada Highway Patrol, the Nevada State Police fire marshal, the Reno Police Department and Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District. Anyone with information about the case or who can help detectives identify a suspect or suspects should contact the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office or Secret Witness. A $2,500 reward is being offered.
