A shooting is under investigation near Interstate 80 just west of the Eureka-Elko County line. It happened about a mile west of Carlin on Old Highway 40. According to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, the Eureka County Sheriff’s Office called for assistance just before 6 o’clock Tuesday evening, saying one person had been shot. Eureka County Sheriff’s Office posted a photo of a suspect on Facebook. They say he’s wanted in a homicide investigation. Daniel Goodyear is considered armed and dangerous and authorities ask you to call 911 immediately if you see him.
