The man who filmed himself torturing and killing dogs, in a crime that has been called the worst animal abuse case in Washoe County history, wants parole. 25 year old Jason Brown was sentenced in 2015. He was given 4 consecutive four year sentences. Monday he asked for release, less that 8 years into his prison sentence. According to the Nevada Department of Corrections, Brown should have been up for parole in 2019. That’s because the DOC says he was misclassified as a violent offender. Apparently in Nevada animal abuse is not considered a crime of violence.
