Two Arrested in Hit And Run in Carson City

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office announced two arrests in connection with a hit-and-run that left one person injured. It happened March 26th just before 7 p.m. at the intersection of Clearview Lane and Silver Sage Drive. Investigators said the driver of a white GMC pickup truck with a white utility shell crashed into a person on a moped. Witnesses say the suspect was seen checking on the rider before getting back in his truck and leaving the scene. The driver, Tyler Farnham, was arrested and is charged with duty to stop at the scene of an accident with personal injury, as well as destroying or concealing evidence. An alleged accomplice, identified as Justin Hicks, was also arrested for destroying or concealing evidence. Investigators said Farnham and Hicks used tools to cut the utility shell in half, and also removed the truck’s license plate. The moped rider was taken to Renown with serious injuries.
