RAVEN Chopper Recovered After “Hard Landing”

[KOH] – Washoe County’s RAVEN helicopter was airlifted to the Stead airport after a hard landing on Thursday. The Regional Aviation Enforcement Unit [RAVEN] was conducting a training mission near the Petersen Mountain Range, north of Cold Springs, when it went down. No injuries were reported by two RAVEN pilots.
The Nevada Army National Guard dispatched a CH-47 Chinook to the site on Sunday morning and hoisted the Huey to the RAVEN hangar at Stead Airport.
The National Traffic Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the incident.
