A suspect fleeing some sheriff’s deputies led to a code yellow lockdown at two local elementary schools Monday. Washoe County Sheriff’s Deputies were attempted to initiate a traffic stop when the motorcycle rider suddenly dropped his motorcycle near the intersection of 9th Street and Yukon Drive in Sun Valley, and fled on foot. During the search, Virginia Palmer Elementary School and Sun Valley Elementary School were both placed on lockdown. The suspect was not found.
