The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office identified the person killed Monday in Fernley as Vincent Eugene Small. Deputies arrested 61-year-old Edward Doyle Small, for first degree murder . The suspect is the victim’s brother. The shooting happened just before 10am in the 900 block of Mesa Drive in Fernley. Deputies were told that someone had been shot and the shooter fled. Deputies arrived to find Vincent Eugene Small dead. Deputies found Edward Doyle Small in a nearby neighborhood.
