The investigation continues into an officer involved shooting Sunday outside of the Silver Legacy in Reno. The suspect, who police say was armed with a knife, is in the hospital. His condition has not been released. The original call to Reno Police came in around 6 a.m. and was about a man who may be armed, standing in the road at Fifth and Virginia streets in downtown Reno. The suspect ignored police officer’s orders and started walking away. That became a chase that ended in the valet area of the Silver Legacy. Reno police first used a TASER before shooting him. He was given emergency aid, then taken to the hospital. Sparks Police are leading the investigation, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office will be assisting.
