Man Shot by Reno Police Also a Person of Interest in Virginia Missing Persons Case

A man shot by police Sunday in downtown Reno is also the person of interest in the disappearance of a Virginia man. Marcus Lee Lewis has been charged with resisting a public officer with a dangerous weapon. Around 6:00 am Sunday Reno Police were called to North Virginia and East 5th Street for a welfare check on a person who was barefoot and possibly armed with a knife. Sparks PD says Lewis failed to follow verbal commands and fled on foot. Officers then pursued him to the valet area of the Silver Legacy. A taser proved ineffective and shots were fired. Emergency medical aid was rendered on scene and Lewis was taken to the hospital. He’s in critical, but stable condition. The case in Virginia involves Joshua Dee Bradford, who has not been seen since September 3rd.
