Reno Police have arrested two people in connection to fatal shooting that happened back in April of 2021. 26-year-old Cristian Barcenas of Reno is facing a charge of open murder with a deadly weapon. 26-year-old Daniel Mendez of Winnemucca is also facing a charge of open murder. Marcos Avalos was found with a gunshot wound after officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 200 block of East Grove Street. He was taken to a local hospital where he died.
